National Freestyle Coach Zeke Jones, while training at Oklahoma State University, began the Sunday morning session with video instruction in the Cliff Keen Theater Room. Following the video session, Coaches Brandon Slay and Bill Zadick divided National Team members into 6 groups of 5 and 6 wrestlers for the trivia challenge. Each group was given a 45-minute time limit to research and answer as many trivia questions as possible.

Following the time limit, team members gathered back in the Theater Room while Coach Slay read the answers to all 25 questions on the trivia challenge, with historical commentary on the answers provide by the Hall’s Director Lee Roy Smith. The winning group (Shawn Bunch, Trent Paulson, Andy Hrovat, Jared Frayer, and JD Bergman ) answered 17 out of 25 correctly. Each member of the winning group received a Hall of Fame “Passion for Excellence” mouse pad.

The project served its purpose and the wrestlers learned much about their freestyle wrestling heritage.
